Pashmina yarn is spun entirely by hand. The fineness depends on the skill and dexterity
of the spinner.
Then, it has to be sorted according to the quality and length of the fibre. Any impurities and guard hair is removed. After that, the fleece is rinsed in water. Any knotted fibres are separated and straightened by using two wooden combs. This can be done through manual or machine carding. Finally, the wool is ready to be spun on a wooden spinning wheel. This is a delicate task as at any time, the fibres can break.
